Completed: August 2019

Following on from the success of our previous projects with Drowning Prevention Auckland, the DPA team chose to focus the next project towards those involved in Māori community activities in the Auckland region.

This included filming three educational videos covering the topics of Diving for Kai, Net Fishing and Waka Ama. All the videos were presented by Clayton from DPA in Te Reo Māori (Māori language).

This was followed by the creation of a new e-learning course with three modules, covering the same topics above. With some Te Reo Māori language skills in-house, we were able to deliver a draft version of the content for the courses in Te Reo Māori before using an expert to polish up the final version.

With a vested interest in the non-profit organisation SBINZ (the snowboard arm of the New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance), the team here at 360nz were extremely passionate about this video series.

The goal of the 6-part series was to present and discuss a different teaching methodology or concept, from the perspective of the presenter, giving the viewer a deeper understanding of the content that is found in the Snowboard Instructor’s Manual.

Each video has a different presenter; all being current Examiners and members of the SBINZ Technical Team. The videos will also to be used within their E-Learning platform that we previously helped to build.

Aomori Spring Media Shoot 2018

Client: Aomori Spring Ski Resort, Japan

Z

Completed: February 2018

As part of an on-going relationship with Aomori Spring in Japan, we spent the first two weeks of February 2018 on a contracted shoot at the resort, working with numerous professional freeskiers and snowboarders.

With the 2018 Winter Olympics being within one short flight from Aomori Airport, a number of teams chose Aomori Spring as their pre-Olympic “wellness” camp location. This included the Finnish and German Snowboard Teams, the US Freeski Halfpipe Team and a few other American athletes like Louie Vito and Chloe Kim.

With so much talent riding at the resort at the same time, Aomori Spring’s management chose to enlist our services to shoot on-spec action photography and videography with the available athletes. We also shot portraits of every visiting athlete to be printed and hung in the lobby at the Rockwood Hotel.

The majority of digitally published content was used throughout both the resort’s and athlete’s social media streams, with a big focus on Instagram. As a result, most of the produced edits were less than one minute in length, with the exception of the video below.

GFORCE Paragliding Web, Video & 360 Degree Video

Client: GFORCE Paragliding in Queenstown

Z

Completed: December 2017

The GFORCE team approached us initially to shoot an in-flight 360° video, with the goal of providing potential customers and booking agents with the closest thing to a Queenstown paragliding experience (before they book and actually experience the flight first-hand). After a number of meetings it became clear that GFORCE’s needs were more substantial; the project scope widened with the addition of a new website and a new promotional video.

The promo video was to be used as a 30 second teaser in booking offices around Queenstown, as well as online mediums. The website required a full re-design, a multi-lingual platform, a very specific operating status widget, and a change in hosting. We combined these two new media assets by creating a web background version of the promo video, placed on their new homepage.

The completed project is an easy-to-navigate website, with the promo video at the forefront, the 360 degree video included and 4 different language options (French, German, Mandarin and English). Check out the 360 video and promo video below…

About GFORCE Paragliding

Take off from the top of the Skyline Gondola and enjoy the ultimate flight with spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu, the mountains, forests and Queenstown itself. GFORCE is the most experienced paragliding company in New Zealand – they’ve been tandem paragliding over Queenstown since 1991!

“360 degree video had us intrigued before we even began working with the guys at 360 New Zealand. We understood the benefits of 360 video and took the opportunity to significantly reshape and future proof our online presence. What we didn’t expect was for the team at 360nz to be able to deliver so much, in such an efficient and cost-effective project.

The guys at 360nz are genuine, effective and very easy to work with. They took on feedback continuously, explained things in simple terms but always gave the “why” when backing up their points. The full project was completed on-time and within budget, and it exceeded our expectations substantially.

Overall, we’re extremely happy with all three new assets, the website, the promo video and the 360 video. The GForce team have been blown away by the quality of delivery and feel that it has been money extremely well spent. We’re now planning to create a longer promotional video with 360nz later on in the summer.”

Aomori Spring Web Design & Imagery

Client: Aomori Spring Ski Resort

Z

Completed: September 2017

Built as a WordPress Multisite, this 3-part, multi-lingual web design contract was a very substantial undertaking. With multiple stakeholders and a number of technology providers involved, the project management and communication was by far the trickiest aspect to this project.

The client required three different websites to promote their main three service offerings; the hotel, the golf course and the ski resort. Whilst each site needed to maintain a consistent structure, layout and flow, the content differed dramatically as the target audiences varied by nationality, interests and age demographic. Our own imagery (shot previously whilst working on location with the client) became a valuable asset and was utilised in a variety of aspects.

This project required in-depth research and planning in the early phases, followed by a detailed design phase, a lengthy content creation phase (working with multiple translators) and a problematic migration for the soft launch (due to the variety of technology providers involved).

We managed the whole process, from start to finish, and ended up supply the hosting ourselves.

About Aomori Spring

Aomori Spring and The Rockwood Hotel is a ski and golf resort located in the Tohoku region of the Honshu Island in Japan. The resort is managed by a mixed team of Japanese and multinational professionals, with a number of international stakeholders.

“As experts in many relevant fields – the Japanese snow industry, digital media and website design – choosing Keith and the team at 360 New Zealand for the Aomori Spring Resort and Rockwood Hotel, Japan websites was an easy decision.

Keith took on the sizable task of building the three websites (ski, golf and hotel in both English and Japanese) with a great deal of professionalism, attention to detail and strategy. He was able to structure his approach with a view to future expansion, as well as integrating a number of non-standard third-party applications, and applying a high level of creative design.

I have never worked with a website design company that has delivered so efficiently and creatively. We will be recommending them with enthusiasm to other businesses, and we look forward to working with them again.”

Completed: June 2017

Here at 360nz we have a strong relationship with the NZSIA, as longterm members of the organisation. After being involved with a rebrand for the non-profit organisation, we were asked to perform a website redesign in a very short space of time.

As part of the redesign, we needed to migrate two additional WordPress sites/databases, combining all three into one WordPress Multisite. This was a mammoth task given that the databases had over 8000 users.

The whole project was completed in just over two weeks, complete with membership database integration (with external software), a completely new architecture and navigation, and an e-learning platform that we’ve helped to build and work on continuously.

Completed: September 2016

After working together on a number of previous projects, Fitkitchen came to us with their new startup business concept. Fitkitchen required a range of services to help them launch their new product including a website with e-commerce capabilities and a variety of imagery solutions.

After lots of discussion, we convinced Fitkitchen that a WordPress-based website was the way to go and we began designing right away. Their goal was simple: to create a slick-looking website that showcased their fitness-focused, convenient meals, and helped them to reach their target audience. The website needed to include e-commerce capabilities, which they may or may not end up using, as the product was to initially launched with in-store purchasing only.

Not only did we create the Fitkitchen website, but we provided a continuous stream of advice and strategy around the use of digital media. This culminated in a short promotional video, shot on their launch day in the Dunedin New World supermarket…

About Fitkitchen

Fitkitchen Ltd. is a Dunedin based company, which was started to solve a problem for lower South Island customers – getting the right nutrition to supplement their busy lives. In today’s world convenience is everything and their goal was to simplify the struggle people have with food to meet health-focused goals.

“We launched Fitkitchen in September 2016 and 360nz were an integral part of this process, creating our website and filming a launch video. We’re extremely happy with the website they created for us and the reception from our customers has been excellent. We couldn’t be happier! Most importantly, for a start-up business, the website came in promptly and on budget.

Following the extremely positive experience with the website build, we turned to 360 again for a promo video filmed during our launch. This began with an easy 1/2 hour meeting with Keith and the cameraman Malcolm. Things moved quickly and a week later we filmed the launch. The video was submitted the following day and completely exceeded our expectations, as usual. We racked up 2500 views on Facebook within hours of posting. This has been our most successful social media post to date and we are absolutely thrilled with the result. We are very proud of this video, just like our website, and are extremely grateful to Malcolm, Keith and 360 team.

I can’t recommend these guys enough! They’re very talented people and a pleasure to do business with. We will definitely be using them again.”
